POV: you are a pet dog specialist that does not believe in skipping steps.

I am not the pet dog trainer for you if you want the fastest results.
And I say that proudly 🧡
I don’t believe in skipping steps when it comes to dog training - and here’s why👇🏼

1. Skipping steps only delays success ⏭️
If you rush the process, you’ll likely be fixing the same problem again in 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months… or even 3 years. Why create issues that could have been prevented by doing it properly the first time?
2. Strong foundations create lifelong results 🧱
Dog training relies on solid foundations. Without them, everything eventually crumbles. I prioritise a healthy dog-owner relationship and clear communication, because these are the building blocks that support your dog for their entire life - not just the next few weeks.
3. Skipped steps create confused dogs 😵💫
Teaching a behaviour in one environment does not mean your dog can automatically generalise it elsewhere.
When dogs are confused, they often:
• Ignore cues
• Shut down
• Act out with even more unwanted behaviours
That’s not disobedience - it’s unclear training.
4. Slow is actually faster 💨
It sounds counterintuitive, but working step-by-step and week-by-week reduces setbacks, prevents bad habits, and creates reliable, long-term results. Rushing costs time. Consistency saves it.
